We are proud to have the United Way of Southwestern Indiana as our partner in offering these services.

Thrift Store

The Rockport Christian Resource Center offers a low cost, fashionable way to update your wardrobe. Thanks to our generous supporters we are able to offer new and gently used clothing for the entire family at bargain basement prices. Most clothing sells for $2.00 with nothing higher than $10.00. (Some exceptions may apply)

Furniture, appliances, household items, books and all other items are priced as marked.

Charity and giving to those in need is one way to show love for others. The Bible calls us to help meet the physical needs of those who cannot help themselves.

Food Bank

We provide a food bank to help supply health, nutritious foods to those in need.  Working in conjunction with the Tri State Food Bank, we provide food to many Spencer County residents who might otherwise go hungry. Our local church & business community also blesses us by hosting food drives throughout the year.

Anyone wishing to pick up food from the food bank is asked to please bring a current ID and a piece of mail, with current address, that has been sent to you in the last five days.

Food Bank hours are Tuesday-Friday 8:30 am-12:00 noon.

If your group or organization would like to host a food drive to benefit our food bank please contact us at 812 649-4946.

Back To School Bash

Each year the Christian Resource Center hosts a Back To School Bash at Rockport City Park in Rockport, IN. Many community businesses, organizations, churches and individuals assist us to make sure that every child is ready to go back to school and feel happy and excited to start a new school year. Free socks and underwear, free food, free produce, on-site DJ, informational booths, games and prize giveaways help to insure the success of our event. In addition local police and fire departments are on hand, showing off their police cruisers and fire engines & discussing bike & pedestrian safety. This is the largest event we host each year and in 2019 over 700 people attended with 270 children receiving free socks and underwear and 190 families being blessed with free produce.
